The Starbucks chain, which is well known for its coffee, has decided to make a humanitarian move with help from people in the music industry.
Starbucks has teamed with the RED foundation. Created by Bono, RED invites companies to create a unique product from which revenues can be donated to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The coffee chain has decided to make a special CD as part of their RED product this year. Any Starbucks customer who spends $15 or more will receive a mini CD with four songs recorded by Bono (I Believe in Father Christmas), Dave Matthews Band (You & Me), John Legend (Redemption Song) and Playing for Change, who cover the Beatles song, All You Need Is Love.
The CD is available anywhere in the United States and Canada. In addition, Starbucks will donate $1 to the fund each time a CD is given to a customer. More information can be found at the Starbucks Website.
