Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie of trying to “inflict harm” on him

The saga between the two former lovers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reaches a new level.

The 58-year-oldactor has been suing his ex-wife since last February following the sale of his shares in their joint vineyard. According to Brad Pitt, the two partners “agreed never to sell […] without the consent of one or the other”. Despite this,Jolie sold her portion of Chateau Miraval to Russian Yuri Shefler.

Brad Pitt returned to the charge in the last hours. His lawyers have updated the lawsuit and claim that “through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt,” in making the sale.

In addition, they accuse Yuri Shefler of having “harmful associations and intentions”.

Although he is Russian,Yuri Shefler is a dissident who left Russia and Vladimir Putin. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the businessman who heads the SPI Group, a firm that produces and distributes 380 brands in 170 countries, renamed one of his vodka brands in “solidarity with Ukraine”.

Despite this, for Brad Pitt and his lawyers, the Russian with a fortune estimated at 1.5 billion dollars (US) according to Forbes, would have “associations and harmful intentions”.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie boughtChateau Miraval in2008 for$28.4 million, with the intention of raising their children there and building a family wine business. At the time of the sale of the actress’ shares, the property located in Provence was valued at $164 million (US).

Since 2016, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been battling it out in court at every level.
