Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to reunite on-screen?

Brangelina might work together again on Aronofsky film.

Darren Aronofsky may be gearing up to direct the film The Tiger with Brad Pitt. In a recent interview, screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga said Angelina Jolie might also co-star with her famous husband. According to the website The Playlist, the participation of Jolie is not yet official.

This is the first on-screen reunion of the couple since they met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005.

Based on the novel by John Vaillant, The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival, the story takes place in Siberia. As human development increasingly encroaches on the tigers’ habitat, one of them begins systematically attacking the inhabitants of a small town.

The team is currently scouting in Siberia, and Pitt is in line to play the lead role of the game warden who must protect the town. The film is planned for 2011, but Aronofsky is also set to direct Wolverine 2.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie’s latest film, The Tourist co-starring Johnny Depp, opens December 10, while Brad Pitt lends his voice to Megamind and Happy Feet 2, having just wrapped shooting on his latest film Moneyball.
