The 42 year-old star was present with Angelina Jolie during the birth. The couple’s first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel, was delivered by caesarian section in a private hospital in Namibia.
The two Hollywood stars had flown their own doctor, Jason Rothbart, from the United States to deliver the child. Rothbart gave some details about the birth, saying, "The baby was a healthy 7lb. Brad was with Angelina the entire time and cut the umbilical cord. The surgery and birth went flawlessly."
Pitt and Jolie are already the parents of two adopted children, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 16 months.
