Brad Pitt Finds Himself in a Dark Void

Brad Pitt will be producing and starring in a film adaptation of a video game.

Through his production company, Plan B, Pitt and India’s Reliance Big Pictures have signed a deal with the video game maker, Capcom, to adapt a game to the big screen.

The computer game Dark Void will be released in Europe and North America in January, and Pitt and his affiliates want to develop a franchise inspired by the game in which the actor will star.

Dark Void follows the adventures of a pilot whose plane crashes in the Bermuda Triangle during his routine mission. He wakes up in an alternate world that resembles primitive Earth run by beings with superior technology.

According to Variety, Brad Pitt has several projects on the table. He will be starring alongside Sean Penn in the fantasy drama The Tree of Life, which hits theatres next year. He will also be in The Lost City of Oz by James Gray (The Yards, Two Lovers). Another project underway is the film Moneyball, set to open in 2011.
