Brad Pitt May Star in Mission: Impossible IV

Goodbye Tom Cruise, hello Brad Pitt.  According to the website Lipstick, Paramount Pictures hopes to bring Pitt on board for Mission: Impossible IV.  The star would take the role of secret agent Ethan Hunt, who has been played previously by Cruise.

Paramount thinks that the third Mission: Impossible film had lost the momentum for the franchise.  The new contract being offered to Pitt is worth $40 million, making it the highest offer ever made in Hollywood for a single production.

Last month, Paramount Pictures ended their partnership with Tom Cruise after fourteen years.
