Brad Pitt on Cover of Vanity Fair

Actor Brad Pitt will be over the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

According to insiders, Pitt will be on the cover of the magazine’s December edition.  Currently, lawyers for the Babel star are considering legal actions against the publication.  Pitt, 42, had no idea that the pictures, taken by photographer Robert Wilson, would be used on the cover of the magazine.

The background of the photo is blue, showing Pitt in white boxers and socks, with a water pistol.  The star had been photographed by Wilson and agreed to the use of the pictures to promote an art project.  Representatives for Pitt insist, "We are very disappointed that Vanity Fair has chosen to put an unauthorized cover on their magazine. It seriously makes me question their integrity and motives."

On October 5, Pitt was formally informed that he would be on the magazine’s cover in December.  Sources say that the celebrity never received this notification.

A Vanity Fair spokesperson explained, "Brad Pitt agreed to allow Wilson to use the portrait or any images from that sitting in connection with any publicity video project. Vanity Fair decided to do a story on Wilson’s video portraits and obtained rights to the entire collection."
