Brad Pitt Wanted Children

According to the London newspaper The Sun, which cited friends of the couple, Pitt was demanding a baby by the end of the year.  The 41 year old husband did not want to wait any longer.

Aniston, 35, did not want to put her career on hold at this time.  The couple decided to put an end to their four year marriage.

According to the same newspaper, Brad Pitt’s desire to have children was influenced by his co-star, Angelina Jolie, in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Jolie brought her three year old son Maddox to the set every day of filming.  Pitt spent his free time playing with the boy.

According to other sources, there was a relationship brewing between Pitt and Jolie that was at the root of the separation.

The tabloid News of the World states that Jolie and Pitt were leaving steamy messages to each other.  Aniston discovered these messages, and it led to the separation.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston met in 1998.  They were married in 2000, in an in an intimate wedding in Malibu, California.
