Brandon Flowers flies solo

The Killers frontman will release Flamingo this fall.

Little by little, details are surfacing about the first solo album by The Killers lead singer and frontman Brandon Flowers. The album is called Flamingo and it will hit music store shelves in the fall.

New info coming to light reveals that Flowers had some solid and impressive collaborations on the production side with songs produced by Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers), Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan) and Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young).

He also sings a couple of songs with Jenny Lewis, singer from the band Rilo Kiley, including the duet Hard Enough. Flowers talked about his collaboration with Lewis. He shared: "She’s always popped into my mind whenever I think about getting a female vocalist involved because she’s a fellow child of Las Vegas, too."

Brendon Flowers has already promised to embark on a solo tour to promote the new album and plans to perform at several festivals in 2011.
