Hollywood’s most glamorous couple will be no-shows at this year’s ceremony that takes place on Sunday (January 17), since Pitt did not receive a nomination for Inglourious Basterds, a source told Us magazine.
The couple is now in New York, where Jolie is shooting new scenes for the film Salt. The actors are also enjoying time in the city with their six children, going on several outings and having family time together.
Inglourious Basterds was nominated in the categories of Best Film and Best Director. Pitt, however, was not personally nominated for his performance in the role of an American soldier in the World War II drama. Therefore, the actor and his wife have decided skip the Golden Globes.
Jennifer Aniston, Pitt’s ex-wife, will not have to publicly face the couple this year. She will be one of the several presenters of the evening, while Ricky Gervais will host the event.
