People reports that Bret Michaels is focusing on his physical rehabilitation after surviving a brain hemorrhage because he wants to get back to performing by the end of the month.
A source says, "He’s still in rehab. His doctor told him to do physical therapy once a day, but he’s doing it twice a day, because he wants a speedy, 100 percent recovery."
Michaels isn’t just hoping to make a full recovery. He also wants to be ready to make his first public appearance at The Celebrity Apprentice finale on May 23.
The rock star wants to continue his Roses & Thorns tour as quickly as possible. It was put on hold after Michaels was hospitalized complaining of a horrible headache.
The source adds that he could be back in as little as two weeks: "It’s looking likely that his first date back will be May 28 at the Hard Rock in Mississippi."
