Bret Michaels gets marriage-minded

After his near-death experience, the rocker Bret Michaels sees life and love in a new light.

Poison’s lead singer confides that his cerebral hemorrhage has given him the motivation to modify his life priorities. He reveals that now his family will come first, reports Daily News.

"As painful as this experience has been, I was given a second chance, right? I don’t want to sit around every night worrying this is going to happen again," says Michaels.

He adds that there are still a lot of life experiences left to have in his life, and that he wants to make a list of his priorities. Marriage could indeed be one of them.

The star would consider marrying his girlfriend Kristi Gibson, who is the mother of their two daughters Rain, 9, and Jorja, 5.

The couple separated in 2005 but reunited when Micales was unsuccessful in his search for true love on his reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

"[Getting married], for sure, is something I have never done," he says. "Kristi’s such a great person. We’ll see if that happens. But yes, that may be one of the big things on the list."

Michaels was hospitalized for less than two weeks after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He’s now staying at an unnamed rehabilitation centre.
