Bret Michaels is still critical

Bret Michaels is conscious but remains in critical condition.

Rocker and reality TV star Bret Michaels is still in critical condition. Canada.com reports he is conscious but finding it difficult to speak after suffering a brain hemmorhage.

The Poison lead singer was rushed to hospital last Friday (April 23) complaining of an intense headache. Doctors diagnosed a serious brain hemmorhage or bleeding on the brain.

A statement released by Michael’s management team on his website yesterday (April 25) says, "We can’t thank everyone enough for all the well wishes and prayers being sent Bret’s way. Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete, the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness etc will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal."

The message adds that, "As of now Bret remains in ICU under 24 hour surveillance. Further testing this week will help locate the  source of the bleeding. Look for an official medical report from doctors this week here at BretMichaels.com."

Bret Michaels has survived several accidents, including one that resulted in facial injuries during the 2009 Tony Awards. He was in a car accident last year on July 4 when a car collided with his tour bus.
