Britney Snubs Lady Gaga

Britney Spears refused to do a song that Lady Gaga wrote for her.

Lady Gaga wasn’t too bummed about Spears rejecting her song, because it meant that she could keep it for herself.

The Poker Face singer began her career as a songwriter for several artists, including the Pussycat Dolls, until she graced the spotlight with her debut album in 2008, The Fame.

The star said that one of her songs called Telephone was initially written for Britney Spears, who discarded it. Lady Gaga then decided to record it herself, and even turned it into a collaboration with singer Beyoncé.

She revealed, "I wrote it for her a long time ago and she just didn’t use it for her album – it’s fine because I love the song and I get to perform it now."

Lady Gaga will be singing for Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Variety Performance gala, which takes place on December 7 at the Opera House in Blackpool, England.
