During a televised interview with Dateline NBC, the young star said that she doesn’t understand why the media is so critical of her, and blame her for Federline’s choice to leave his girlfriend, Shar Jackson, who was pregnant with his child.
The Toxic singer said that Federline and Jackson weren’t together when she began dating the dancer. Spears, 24, went on to add that Julia Roberts was dating a married man, and the media made nothing of it.
To set the record straight, actress Julia Roberts met her current husband while on the set of the film The Mexican in 2001. Danny Moder divorced in 2002 and married Roberts two months later.
Britney Spears added, "That happened with Julia Roberts too but it’s more talked about and more of an issue with me."
