The singer fired her new assistant a few days after the disastrous interview with the American magazine OK!
The mental health of the 25-year-old star was questioned after an interview on July 24. The editor of OK! stated that Spears behaved strangely during this interview.
Spears blamed her new assistant Shannon Funk, whom she hired earlier this month to deal with all the negative publicity circulating about her.
A source told the magazine Life & Style, "Britney felt a lot of her recent troubles started and stopped with Shannon. Britney thought she was talking badly about her. She was very rude and Britney felt she was letting business emails fall by the wayside".
Funk replaced Spears’ cousin, Alli Sims as her personal assistant, since there was some friction between the two cousins back then. Since that time Spears and Sims have resolved their issues.
