Britney Spears’ new album due out March 29

Femme Fatale not arriving March 15 as previously thought.

It’s official: Britney Spears’ new album, Femme Fatale, will make its debut on March 29, reports HitFix, later than the previously-rumoured launch date of March 15.

Excited fans will have something to tide them over during the wait, as the video from her first single, Hold It Against Me, debuts on February 17. The music video will air live on MTV at 9:56 p.m. EST, right before an episode of Jersey Shore. Online music service VEVO will also launch it at the same time.

In the two weeks leading up to the video’s debut, Spears has been offering a sneak peak to fans, with five to ten-second video teasers leaked on Twitter and posted on her official website.

While everything is moving full-steam ahead, rumour has it that Spears is still recording some of the tracks for her album, including a collaborative number with Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.

"In the studio with @iamwill… you guys are gonna love this one," Spears wrote to fans via Twitter.
