According to the petition filed at the Supreme Court of Manhatten, Britney Touring Inc., the star’s company, has demanded 9.8 million dollars for the losses incurred as a result of the cancellation of the Onyx Hotel Tour.
The singer was forced to cancel her tour after getting injured during the taping of a video on June 8 in New York.
Spears company alleges having paid 1.3 million to these insurance companies in order to be protected should a situation happen in Canada, U.S and Europe.
According to the court documents, seven insurance companies, all British, have all refused payment. The eighth company is French, and has not yet responded.
