Spears began the Australian leg of her tour, and seems hurt by the undesirable feedback from fans following her first show, reports blogger Perez Hilton.
The singer was criticised by the Australian government and media for lip synching during several parts of her show. Additionally, some fans were so disappointed by her November 6th performance in Perth that they left in the middle of it.
The local promoter of the Australian tour, Paul Dainty, came to the star’s defence, claiming that the criticism has caused Spears some distress. He stated, "Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being.”
Dainty said that he is embarrassed by the stories reported in the press, and shared that many of them are inaccurate. He added that he was surprised that fans left the show after they dished out some serious cash to attend the event.
Nonetheless, Dainty argues that people know that Britney lipsynchs during her concerts, and that Circus is an "incredible" show.
