Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, was rushed to a hospital on Saturday (November 28) upon arrival at the Los Angeles airport.
The star and her screenwriter husband, who wrote Factory Girl, Two Days, and Nine LIves, were returning from Puerto Rico when Monjack had to be transported to a nearby hospital.
The actress believed that her husband was suffering from an asthma attack, but doctors were more concerned. They insisted that Monjack be taken to the hospital. No other details have been revealed about his current health status.
Murphy and Monjack were married on May 5, 2007 during a private Jewish ceremony.
Murphy, who is currently filming The Caller with Stephen Moyer of True Blood, was once dated Ashton Kutcher. The two began dating in 2003 when they met on the set of the film Just Married. Murphy has also been engaged twice before, once to producer Jeff Kwatinetz, and then to cameraman Joe Macaluso.
