Brokeback Mountain Honoured Once Again

The movie Brokeback Mountain was honoured with the award for best movie of the year.

Brokeback Mountain won for best movie at the Golden Globe Awards, but did not win the Oscar for best movie.  This American film was awarded by the Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

This association, that defends the rights of gays and lesbians in the United States, had their 17th award ceremony in New York.

The director of Brokeback Mountain, Ang Lee, spoke to the audience after receiving a standing ovation.  He told the audience, "Finally, an award that actually means something."

Brokeback Mountain is the impossible love story of two cowboys.
