Brooke Hogan apologised in public for having made false accusations against her father Hulk Hogan for having abused her mother, reports People.
The 20 year-old singer confessed in an exclusive statement to People, "I did it under significant pressure from my mother." She explained, "It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it."
Hogan made the statement after the media reported that she signed a declaration under oath, accusing her father of physically and verbally abusing his wife, Linda, during their marriage.
Linda asked for a divorce in November, and her lawyer said that there would be a war. Linda’s attorney was not available for comment, and Hulk Hogan’s representative refused to speak.
In the statement, Brooke Hogan admitted that she signed it under oath, however, according to her rep, she quickly regretted the decision, asking not send the document to court.
