The kid from New Jersey will have the honours of giving the final shows at Giants Stadium.
The landmark will be demolished, now that the more modern Meadowland Stadium is being built nearby.
The stadium, which has been home to the New York Giants and Jets, is the oldest stadium in the NFL. The Boss announced his forthcoming concerts on Thursday night while rocking the Izod Center stage in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The pride of Jersey will be performing his shows on September 3 and October 2 and 3.
Springsteen’s three concerts will follow U2’s two shows a few days earlier.
