Willis will be in Boston in February filming the Touchstone Pictures film, The Surrogates. Mostow, who will be directing, has also done movies such as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and U-571. The screenplay was written by Michael Ferris and John Brancato. It was based on a comic strip by Top Shelf Comix. In this story humans live alone and communicate through robots which are improved versions of themselves.
Willis will play a police officer who must investigate through his robot, the murder of other robots. In order to do this, Willis’ character must get out of his house after many years of isolation.
