Bruno Infuriates Austrian Ambassador

An Austrian politician is asking moviegoers to boycott Sacha Baron Cohen’s new film.

Mr. Emil Brix, the Director of Cultural Policies of Austria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, believes that the film Bruno is a true insult to his country, and suggests that people boycott the satirical comedy starring Cohen.

According to Brix, Cohen’s gay Austrian fashion journalist persona is completely inappropriate, and that the film is full of bad, tasteless jokes. Therefore, he is publicly protesting the film that opens on July 10.

In addition, the politician is convinced that Bruno will receive a cold welcome from Austrian moviegoers. "The public will know how to react to this film," he said.
