Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has finally become a proud papa at the age of 51. His representative confirmed that the notoriously private musician and his personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi, 31, became parents to Mirabella Bunny last month, reports People.
"I’m really proud to announce on 22 April, Mirabella Bunny was born," said the Summer of ’69 hitmaker. “She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday.”
"Mother and baby are both well and happy,” Adams added. “Thanks in advance for your kind thoughts and wishes.”
Grimaldi, a Briton, helped the socially active musician set up his charitable foundation in 2004. Reportedly, the Cambridge-educated brunette has been in a secret relationship with Adams for the past two years.
In the U.K., Grimaldi’s father, retired surgeon Peter Grimaldi, 66, told the Daily Mail: “It will be our first grandchild and, of course, we are all delighted for Alicia and Bryan.
“I have met Bryan many, many times. He obviously has a huge fan club, me included. They are both very excited.”
Although they are rarely seen together at public events, the couple are said to be living together at the singer’s mansion in Chelsea.
