(Relaxnews) – The US edition of Burning Man runs August 27 though September 3 in the Nevada desert. For those missing out, here are some other Burning Man events throughout the world, organized through the Burning Man Regional Network.
AfrikaBurn was created as a regional event back in 2007 and takes place in Tankwa Karoo in South Africa. The event follows the same principles as Burning Man, among them the "Leave no Trace" concept. The next edition of AfrikaBurn will take place from May 1-6, 2013.

Burning Man Australia is taking place September 26 to October 2 near Narrandera, in Wiradjuri Country. This edition will be the third edition of Australia’s Burning Man event and will have as its theme "Mythconception." Over five days a temporary community will be created following the principles of the original event.

Kiwiburn is the New Zealand version of Burning Man, taking place between January 23 and 28, 2013. The tenth edition of the festival will take place at Whakamaru Domain Mangakino and will have as its theme "Enlightenment."

Nowhere takes place in Zaragoza in northeastern Spain. Its principles, very similar to those of Burning Man, are self-expression, self-reliance and of course, leave no trace. Due to local regulations, unlike Burning Man, there is no fire. The next event is taking place in July 2013.
