C.R.A.Z.Y. Dominates the Nominations

The Quebecois film C.R.A.Z.Y. from filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallee received the most nominations for the Canadian Genie Awards.  The film received 12 nominations, including Best Film and Best Direction. 

Water from Deepa Mehta received nine nominations, including Best Film and Best Direction, followed by It’s All Gone Pete Tong from Michael Dowse, which received eight bids.  L’Audition from Luc Picard and Familia from Louise Archambault each were given seven nominations.

The 26th Genie Awards will celebrate excellence in Candian cinema.
