Cadillac Unveils the CTS Coupe

Following the popularity of the concept unveiled in Detroit in 2008, Cadillac has produced a coupe version of the CTS.

Although the car won’t be officially introduced until next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Cadillac is giving the world a sneak peak at their new baby.

Based on the same platform as the brand’s family range, the Cadillac CTS Coupe is 51 mm shorter in length than its 4-doored twin.  GM also announced that the 4-seater will share several details with the rest of their range.

Staying true to the original design concept, the coupe is a perfect expression of the brand’s trademark style.

On the technical side, the 3.6-litre V6 engine sends 304 horsepower to the front and rear wheels through a manual 6-speed gearbox.  Automatic transmission with steering wheel controls is also an option.

Scheduled to arrive at dealerships in the spring, the Cadillac CTS Coupe will also be produced as a V version (with a V8 and 550 horsepower) before the end of 2010.
