After starring in Twilight, Gigandet will again be delving into the realm of vampires with the film Priest, inspired by the TokyoPop comic book series.
The story unfolds in a world ravaged by centuries of war between humans and vampires. A warrior priest, played by Paul Bettany, turns away from the church to pursue a group of killer vampires that has kidnapped his niece.
Gigandet will play a young half-vampire sheriff, who will team with the priest, because he is in love with his niece and wants to save her.
Gigandet has two other films headed to theatres, Five Star Day and Making Changes, which don’t currently have confirmed release dates. In the meantime, we can next see the actor in Pandorum on September 4.
