While Shrek The Musical hit Broadway on Sunday (December 14), Cameron Diaz admits that she had no desire to star in it.
When asked if she wanted to participate in the musical, the actress behind Fiona in the animated films says that musicals are not for her.
"No. Absolutely not. What they do up there … is, to me, impossible. It’s wonderful, though. They’ve done such a great job," the actress declared.
For the musical, Sutton Foster plays Fiona and Brian d’Arcy James plays Shrek.
However, Cameron Diaz’s voice as Fiona will be featured in the fourth Shrek film, which hits theatres in 2010.
