Britney Spears’ father, who oversees his daughter’s legal affairs after she was hospitalised twice last year, is trying to convince a judge to grant him permission to extend the Circus tour.
However, due to the value of the American dollar and the precarious state of the world economy, permission may be refused.
A further analysis on the feasibility of adding European and Australian concert dates, in addition to a second tour in America, must first be conducted, says Reva Goetz, commissioner to the Los Angeles Superior Court.
To date, the 27-year-old singer is halfway through her 49-date tour across the United States, Canada and England.
