Canadian country star heads to TV

Shania Twain will star in a new TV show about her climb back to the top.

People magazine reports that Shania Twain is about to launch her own television series. She has been lying low since she broke up with her cheating husband,  Robert "Mutt" Lange.

The 44-year old singer will star in Why Not ? With Shania Twain, a one-hour show on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.

The network explains, "The show will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures."

Twain’s marriage fell apart in 2008 when she found out that her husband was fooling around with her friend and employee, Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

Since the separation, the Grammy-award winning singer has released several personal videos on her website. They detail her trips around the world, fun times with her 8-year old son Eja and her new romance with Frédéric Thiébaud, who happens to be the ex-husband of Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

Last August, Twain and Thiébaud fuelled romance rumours when they were seen vacationing together in Canada with Twain’s family.

The singer now admits Thiébaud helped her move on after this painful time in her life. He has been a big support to her and her son. They understand each other because they have shared the same experience.
