Carmen Electra Launches a Lawsuit

The former star of Baywatch, Carmen Electra, is intending on suing the Women’s Wrestling League.

Carmen Electra is launching a $3.3 million lawsuit against the Naked Women’s Wrestling League (NWWL), for breach of contract and poor business. The NWWL did not pay the 35-year-old actress for public appearances for four events.

According to the documents submitted last Wednesday at the Superior Court in Los Angeles, the star was supposed to receive $400 000 and a percentage of the DVD sales for hosting four NWWL matches. The star only received $100 000.

The President of the NWWL, Howard Mann, stated in a press release that he never had  a contract of this type with the former Playboy playmate. He stated that the lawsuit is "malicious and highly damaging."

According to Mann, the actress is trying to get media attention. "I feel her claims are nothing more than a desperate cry for attention. I am engaging California counsel to actively defend my position, and I will be seeking damages for defamation, slander and malicious persecution," stated Mann.
