Carmen Electra wants to adopt

Carmen Electra is considering adopting a child and she thinks she would be a "fun" mother.

Carmen Electra is thinking about adopting.

Although the 40-year-old actress recently ended her romance with Simon Cowell and is currently single, she would love to have kids some day and is open to the idea of giving a home to a parentless child.

Speaking to the new issue of In Touch Weekly magazine, she said: "I’m open to it. Work has been my priority this year but I’m not closed off to the idea of adoption. I love kids.

"I’d be an encouraging and fun mom. I’d let my kid be who they are but also be a good solid mom. I definitely have an edgy, wild side to me – and I know people are surprised by this – but I can be very traditional too."

Carmen has been married twice to retired basketball star Dennis Rodman and rocker Dave Navarro, and although both unions ended in divorce the former ‘Baywatch’ star would tie the knot again.

She said: "I’ve had two marriages and that’s all right. I’m not going to let that hold me back from living. I love those experiences. Dave and I are still so connected – we laugh, we talk on the phone, and we meet for lunch."

Carmen briefly dated Simon after meeting him when she acted as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ but the relationship ran its course.
