Carole Middleton has been researching childcare books ahead of Duchess Catherine giving birth.
The duchess’ mother – who is reportedly being considered for the role of royal nanny to Catherine and Prince William’s baby – has reportedly been reading the latest books on parenting and birthing in preparation for the role.
A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: ”Carole is exploring all avenues to make sure they’re fully prepared. She’s leaving no stone unturned and making sure she swots up on all the latest things. This is one very special baby after all.”
It’s alleged, however, William’s stepmother Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, doesn’t agree with Catherine enlisting her mother as it would be a break from royal tradition.
The source added: ”Camilla adores Kate and certainly doesn’t want to tread on anyone’s toes but I think she finds the notion of Carole moving in a bit fussy, like they’re wrapping Kate in cotton wool.
”Carole won’t be moving in permanently, but Kate wants her to stay for the first few weeks following the birth. She doesn’t want a nanny at first.”
The duchess – who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her April 2011 wedding – is expected to give birth in July.
