Carole Middleton to become royal nanny?

Britain’s Duchess Catherine is reportedly planning to ask her mother Carole Middleton to take on nanny duties when the royal baby is born.

Britain’s Duchess Catherine allegedly wants her mother to become the royal nanny.

The 31-year-old royal could break with tradition and ask Carole Middleton, 57, to move into Kensington Palace in order to help her look after her baby, especially after the stressful start to her pregnancy and hospitalization in December for acute morning sickness.

Jessica Hay – who was friends with the former Kate Middleton at school – told The Daily Mirror newspaper: ”Kate and William are both pretty terrified about the rest of the pregnancy after the hyperemesis.

”Carole may even move in with them when the baby’s born so they don’t have to rely on a nanny.

”But all in all Catherine’s very happy. With so much family around her and William they’re starting to enjoy the pregnancy after such a traumatic start.”

This comes after the news Prince William and Catherine intend to be as hands-on as possible with their new baby – who will be third in line to the throne – and were hoping to hire a part-time nanny to help them juggle their public engagements.

A source recently said: ”They want to be as hands-on as possible. But they still have royal duties they need to attend to that they can’t possibly fulfill without some help.

”Kate wants to return to her work as a volunteer for the Scouts, and other charity organizations. They also want to make sure their little bundle of joy gets a taste of life outside palace walls.”
