Underwood plans to marry her athlete boyfriend, who plays hockey for the Ottawa Senators. Fisher popped the question at home on Sunday afternoon (December 20). After Carrie said ‘yes’ the two sent a message with the good news to all of their friends.
"I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time," the singer’s rep told People.
Fisher also talked about the news to the Toronto Sun yesterday (December 21). He said, "It’s true. We’re both obviously excited and very happy."
Fisher, 29, and Underwood, 26, haven’t tried to hide their romance. In fact, the singer even declared her love for Fisher inside the cover of her latest album, Play On. "I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day," wrote Underwood in the acknowledgements section.
