Underwood, who received a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Country Artist last night (January 6), revealed thoughts of her ideal wedding.
The singer still remains candid about her relationship with Ottawa Senators hockey player, Mike Fisher, and announced their engagement just before Christmas. Now, she’s already planning how the ceremony is going to play out. "I want a groom, good food and an open bar," said Underwood.
The star still hasn’t picked a designer to create her wedding gown, but she’s already begun to plan her look. ‘I’m Southern," she said. "I like big hair and eyeliner. I want my wedding day to be me, so I’ll probably be rocking some big hair and some eyeliner."
Fisher, 29, and Underwood, 26, haven’t kept their romance so discreet over the past year. The singer even declared her love and gratitude for Fisher on the cover of her recent album, Play On. She wrote, "Thank you #12. [Fisher’s hockey jersey number] You are the most amazing edition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day… xoxo, Carrie."
