Dans les coulisses

Casey DeSmith took the time to sign a jersey with his name on it for the HFTV guys.

Casey DeSmith’s stay in Montreal wasn’t long.

He was acquired by the Canadiens on August 6… and traded to Vancouver a month and a half later, on September 19.

The goalie was in Montreal last night, as the Canucks were at the Bell Centre to take on the Habs. The guys at HFTV gave him a nice little surprise for the occasion:

It doesn’t stop there. The boys had the opportunity to meet the DeSmith family, who seemed to be quite pleased with the poster and jersey created for their son…

And after the meeting, the goalie himself decided to pay the HFTV guys a visit and sign the jersey.

The photo is worth a thousand words:

It’s a nice gesture, and you can see how much the goalie appreciated what the two HFTV guys did.

DeSmith’s smile says it all.

You can tell he’s happy right now, and he should be.

DeSmith got what he wanted when he was given the chance to join a team that had and wanted him, and that good mood carries over to the rink. DeSmith has yet to lose in regulation time this season (4-0-1 record) and is a big reason for the Canucks’ success so far this season.

Good for him.
