A cat ”the size of an Alsatian” has been spotted in the British countryside.
The mysterious creature described as being the size of a large dog was spotted by dog walker Stewart Lord when he and his wife took their Staffordshire bull terrier for a walk in the hills near Rochdale, North West England.
The animal is believed to be the Huttock Top Beast, which is a puma-like animal that’s been spotted in the area several times in recent years.
Mr. Lord told the Rochdale Observer newspaper: ”I am 110% sure of what it was.
”It was a browny grey colour, its hind quarters of the length of its body that curled down underneath … It stood there looking at us fro maybe 10 to 15 seconds before it slipped away over the other side of the wall.”
He added: ”I want to warn other dog walkers in the area to be wary.”
