Denis Villeneuve is said to be on the verge of another major project, as he is in pole position to adapt the book Nuclear War: A Scenario.

This decision, which reflects the resounding success of his directing career to date, comes as Legendary Entertainment announces confirmation of Dune 3.

Legendary has also secured the rights to adapt Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario, and Denis Villeneuve is reportedly considering tackling this new project once he has completed the third installment of the Dune series. This best-seller explores the theme of a global nuclear war, as you may have guessed.

The director will be very busy over the next few years with Rendezvous with Rama, Cleopatra, Dune 3 and Nuclear War A Scenario!

New York City was rocked by a 4.8-magnitude earthquake Friday morning. In addition to New York City, New Jersey was also hit by the quake.

Parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts also felt the effects of the quake.

According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake occurred at exactly 10:23 a.m., about 16 kilometers northwest of Bridgewater. In the process, the quake shook skyscrapers and several buildings across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, report the AP and Variety.

Although 4.8 is usually considered moderate, all indications point to it being “one of the biggest quakes ever to hit New York City”.

Fans of The Matrix franchise will be delighted to learn that Warner Bros. has confirmed that The Matrix will return with the next sequel to the sci-fi saga launched in 1999.

The Matrix universe is adding a new chapter to its saga, and this expansion is not without a major upheaval. Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski will no longer be involved in the film’s sequel as writers or directors, but will be executive producers of The Matrix 5, handing over to Drew Goddard.

Goddard, best known for writing the screenplay for The Martian, will write and direct the fifth installment of the franchise, adding his proven expertise to this next chapter.

According to a Variety source, Goddard is in talks with Warner Bros. to present a new vision of the legacy of The Matrix universe, with innovative ideas to further enrich the saga. This news has raised concerns among fans of the franchise, who wonder about the direction the saga might take without the direct influence of the Wachowskis.

Details about The Matrix 5 are still scarce, as development of the film is still in its early stages. No information has been released about the plot, the actors who will reprise their roles, or the release date. Nevertheless, the announcement of this forthcoming film has generated a great deal of excitement in the film industry and among fans.

The search for a missing dog in Colorado has taken an unlikely turn: Ullr, the Border Collie/Rottweiler who had been missing for almost a year, has been spotted by surveillance cameras and is said to be in excellent health.

This has re-energized owner Jacob Dalbey’s efforts to find him.

Jacob Dalbey’s beloved dog disappeared on March 17, 2023, following a sudden and unexpected avalanche near Mount Chair. Ullr survived the accident, but was lost in the wild. While Dalbey and his friends were injured by the snow slide, Ullr escaped.

The search for Ullr continues today, thanks to the support and determination of the community.

Dalbey could not afford to fund the search due to the size of his medical bills, which included surgery, frostbite treatment and other expenses.

Deborah Wieker launched a GoFundMe page to help bring Ullr home. The campaign raised nearly $38,000 to find Ullr.

Dalbey received confirmation of his quest for answers after placing surveillance cameras to attract Ullr and providing him with food. Dalbey was delighted to see the warrior Ullr in the images taken on February 17 and 18, 2024.

Ullr’s story has been widely shared and Dalbey is grateful for all the support he has received, both from strangers and friends. These contributions have enabled the search to continue and given Dalbey hope of finding Ullr safe and sound.
