According to EA, the Panthers will defeat the Washington Capitals in five games in the first round. They will also defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins in six games in the Eastern Association semifinals and finals respectively.
In the Western Association, the Calgary Flames, Canada’s top team, will go a long way this spring. The Alberta team will be eliminated in seven games against the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Final.
In the Grand Final, the Florida Panthers will defeat the Colorado Avalanche in six games.
The Florida Panthers won the season’s honors and earned the President’s Cup with a 58-18-6 record. Florida has never won the Stanley Cup, losing the 1996 final in four games to the Colorado Avalanche.
