On Monday, a resident of Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau made a macabre discovery while fishing in Lac des Pères.
Radio-Canada said he caught a human foot in his rowboat in the middle of the lake.
The fisherman thought he had a big fish…but it was human remains waiting for him at the end of his fishing line…
Radio-Canada reported that SQ divers and a forensic identification team will be on-site to see if they can discover the other body parts and also identify to whom they belong.
A rigorous analysis will be conducted, and an investigation will be launched.
We don’t yet know whether this was a criminal act or an accidental death, but the investigation may reveal everything soon.
We could very soon see a third arrest in a short period of time of the former president of the United States.

On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in Washington, D.C., after a speech by the then ex-president in which he asked his supporters to march down to the Capitol to show the elected officials inside who were to certify the election result (and thus new President Joe Biden), that the people had chosen Trump, creating a riot outside and inside the building, an assault that left people dead and wounded and later described as an insurrection.

But according to sources at CNN, it seems that the mysterious bag found in the common area of the West Wing of the White House was tested… and found to be cocaine!
According to information gathered by the U.S. National Center for Environmental Predictions, Monday July 3 was recorded as the hottest day on the planet since information has been amassed on the subject.
On Monday, a global temperature of 17.01 degrees celcius was recorded, beating the last record of 16.92 degrees celcius dating back to mid-August 2016.
However, on Tuesday, the record was broken again!
This time with a global temperature of 17.18 degrees celcius, according to CNN!
Experts believe that this record could be broken several more times in the coming years, which is not encouraging for the future.
Many believe that global warming and the El Niño phenomenon are to blame.
The consequences could be disastrous for the planet. Recent intense heat waves have also contributed to or caused the deaths of hundreds of people, notably in Mexico and India.

The film crew of the Netflix docu-series Our Planet II found themselves in the midst of a nightmare, while filming in the paradise-like setting of Laysan Island, a desert island located 1000 km north of Hawaii.

While the docu-series crew was on board an inflatable boat on the island’s coast, filming newborn albatrosses taking their first flight, the situation took a terrifying turn worthy of the film Jaws.
Two tiger sharks swooped down on their boat and attacked it to the point where the boat was pierced by the sharks’ teeth… leaving huge holes in it!

“It was like something out of Jaws!” the director confirmed in an interview, reported by HuffPost.
At the time of the shark attack, the film crew was in the waters nearly 100 meters from Laysan.
“The crew was panicked,” continued the witness, claiming that the crew had to urgently beach themselves on the sand, in what must have been several minutes of sheer terror.
Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin, three men known as the West Memphis Three, are calling for their names to be cleared once and for all in a sordid murder case, nearly 30 years after the fact.
The three men were arrested and wrongly convicted as teenagers in the savage murder of three young children in West Memphis, Arkansas, in 1993.
Although no motive or physical evidence linked them to the crime at the time, the teens were quickly targeted and accused of performing a satanic ritual there.

DNA technology has come a long way since 2007… and it’s now possible to find the killer thanks to new tests such as DNA profiling via genealogy sites like Ancestry, for example.
A request made by Echols was refused, the judge stating that only prisoners can make such a request, and that Mr. Echols is no longer considered as such.

This is why, on June 2, the Innocence Project (an organization working for the release of the wrongfully convicted) filed a brief in support of Echols’ efforts.
At the same time, Innocence Project is asking everyone to support the West Memphis Three by signing a petition available on the website, sharing their stories on social networks, reading the book Devil’s Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three, or watching the documentary Paradise Lost on HBO (and Crave).
It seems that Céline Dion’s My Heart Will Go On has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity following the underwater tragedy of the Titan, the submersible that imploded last week on its way to the wreck of the Titanic, killing all five passengers instantly.
According to TMZ, the song has been listened to over 500,000 times since the tragedy, bringing the total number of listens to the theme song from James Cameron’s 1997 film to over 460 million!
It would seem that people are taking comfort in listening to this iconic song, while the story of the Titan (like that of the Titanic) is still the subject of much debate…
