Coolio’s cause of death is revealed

The American rapper Coolio died last year at the age of 59 years and the cause of his death was revealed.

Indeed, the artist’s manager said that the rapper died of an overdose of fentanyl.

The artist, who was known among others because of his very popular songs Gangsta’s Paradise and Fantastic Voyage, not only overdosed on this very powerful opioid, but traces of methamphetamine and heroin would have been discovered in his blood.

Other causes would have played in his death, such as the fact that he smoked, had asthma and had a cardiomyopathy.

In short, despite everything, his death would have been judged as accidental.

“The family of the deceased artist would have the intention to honor the memory of Coolio via documentaries and even a film,” according to his agent, reports the BBC.

Mario, Peach and Bowser are destroying everything in their path

Were you in the theaters this weekend?

If so, you may have felt or participated in the incredible wave of popularity of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which is destroying everything in its path!

Indeed, and somewhat against all odds, even though it was expected to do well, Illumination’s animated film starring Mario (Chris Pratt), Luigi (Charlie Day), Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bowser (Jack Black) is breaking box office records.

First, The Super Mario Bros. Movie became the most popular animated film in history in its first weekend in theaters, with a North American grossing of more than $204 million, and $173 million (US) worldwide, for a total of $377 million (US).

The film surpasses Frozen 2 ($358M) and also become Illumination’s highest-grossing theatrical offering upon its release, beating out entries from franchises like Despicable Me, Minions, The Secret Life of Pets and Sing.

More, The Super Mario Bros. Movie instantly became the most popular video game adaptation upon its release, beating out Warcraft and Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2.

In short, sensational results… and we can expect more records to be broken by Mario and his gang, as well as the confirmation of a sequel.

Jack Black, who lends his voice to Bowser in the original film and is a hit with his Princess Peach tribute song, didn’t hide his excitement about the film’s success and the prospect of a sequel, even praising his friend Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) for the role of… Wario!

Are you part of the Mario craze?

Women’s basketball: a punch in the face during a handshake

Following a basketball game between Bowling Green State University and Memphis University in the Women’s NIT Round of 16, won 73-60 by BGSU, a punch to the face was delivered during the handshake.

The cameras were pointed at BGSU’s Elissa Brett when she was punched in the face by Memphis’ Jamirah Shutes, who was still frustrated after a spat with her before the end of the game.

Brett crashed to the “court” as a result of the “hammer” blow, while her opponent was immediately subdued by her coach.

The player remained on the ground for several minutes because of the hard hit, but she was able to leave on her own, which was the good news in itself.

The police were quickly involved in the case to understand exactly what the nature of the violent punch was, and after formal charges against her, the “boxer” pleaded not guilty.

This case is now in the hands of the lawyers, and the whole thing will go to court.
