Thanks to Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, baseball is exploding!

In the final of the World Baseball Classic, the United States was battling against Japan, and this duel was going to be explosive because of two names: Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout.

A scenario worthy of Hollywood, no less! Two of the best players on the planet, if not the two best, playing for the same team in the MLB, the Los Angeles Angels, battling for the big Classic. WOW!

In the last few weeks, baseball fans have been treated to some very high quality baseball, also rekindling many extinguished flames in some fans.

That said, the Americans took the field as defending champions, and they lost 3-2 to the impressive Japanese and the GREAT Shohei Ohtani.

To get back to the Hollywood chapter, it came down to the ninth inning, where Ohtani came to the mound to close the books. He started his shift with a walk to Jeff McNeil, only to force a double play to Mookie Betts.

At that point, the score was still 3-2 in favor of Japan with one out to go.

Trout came to the plate to battle his opponent, friend and teammate on the Angels. Fans of the “ball” witnessed a great battle between the two stars, where Ohtani got the better of Trout by passing him in the mitt… thus giving the championship to his nation.

The Weeknd is breaking Guinness World Records now!

The Weeknd takes two more steps toward establishing himself as the most important artist on the planet, having just been confirmed as the world’s most popular artist by the Guinness World Records Committee!

With his huge popularity, the Canadian singer became the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, easily surpassing Miley Cyrus, in 2nd place, with just over 82 million listeners.

In addition, the man whose real name is Abel Tesfaye was also just recently confirmed as the most listened to artist every month on the same platform.

According to Guinness, the star can thank TikTok and the release of his Die For You remix in collaboration with Ariana Grande, which quickly went viral on social networks and exploded his number of listeners on various streaming platforms… including Spotify. The monstrous success of Blinding Lights is also a big factor in the whole thing.

At only 33 years old, The Weeknd is certainly not done breaking industry records!

Bruce Willis’ wife breaks into tears on his birthday, says she feels “sadness every day”

Bruce Willis looks like he had a happy 68th birthday with his wife Emma Heming Willis, his kids and his ex, Demi Moore!

This is indeed what we can see in a video posted on Instagram by Demi Moore herself, as everyone sings to her Happy Birthday and Willis blows out her birthday candles.

But living with a diagnosis of dementia also brings its share of difficulties for the actor, but also his loved ones, starting with his wife, Emma.

The latter burst into tears a few times while trying to document her famous husband’s birthday.

“I started the morning crying […] I just think it’s important for you to see all sides of this,” she says in a video posted on Instagram.

She goes on to explain that people tell her, “You’re so strong. I don’t know how you do it!”, but that the truth is she doesn’t really have a choice.

“I’m not given a choice. I wish I was. […] But, I’m also raising two kids in this. So, sometimes in our lives, we have to put on our big girl pants and get it done. And that’s what I do,” Emma Heming Willis says with aplomb.

“I have moments of sadness every day, grief every day and I really feel it today on his birthday!” she concluded, in this touching message.

Emma also posted a video montage of Bruce, which was certainly the source of many of her tears…

50 Cent wants his money (and it’s not cents)

50 Cent is preparing to collect assets from a man who owes him $6.2 million following a lawsuit the rapper won.

Fast forward to September 2021, Fifty-owned Sire Spirits has filed a lawsuit against Mitchell Green, the former brand manager, over the $2.2 million he received in under-the-table kickbacks from 2018 to 2020.

A year later, in October 2022, the court found Green guilty of liability to Sire Spirits for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unjust enrichment.

This meant that50 Cent was to receive $6,194,293 from Green, but Green has yet to pay a dime… to 50 Cent.

That said, on March 14, Green filed for bankruptcy protection, but 50 Cent is determined to get his cash back through the man’s estate.

The 47-year-old New York rapper donned his old 50 Cent jersey, the one that wasn’t afraid of words to deliver some messages.

Taylor Swift charms fans with her looks at the launch of her tour

Taylor Swift was in Arizona for the past few days to kick off her latest tour, The Eras Tour, and it was clear to those in the know that her looks were absolutely sensational.

Just like the songs (44 in total!) performed at the opening show, her stage costumes also featured several nods to Taylor Swift’s various eras .

Vogue, in particular, was full of praise for Swift’s wardrobe choices as she launched her tour, calling at least one of them a power move.

Diver jumps 170 feet… into freezing water

David Vencl, a 40-year-old Czech free diver, broke the world record with a 170-foot deep dive in a frozen lake. Of course, his name appears in the Guinness bible for this feat.

This feat was achieved in a single breath in the depths of the lake of Sils, Switzerland, without any diving suit. After 1 minute and 54 seconds, he came out of the hole, spat blood and opened a bottle of champagne.

Vencl’s promoter, Pavel Kalous, said the swim took a little longer.

The frigid water was between 33.8 and 39.2 degrees and the air temperature was around 40 degrees.

Because of the cold water, lack of oxygen and the pressure issue, a very UNIQUE cocktail, Vencl went to the hospital to make sure nothing too serious had resulted from the adventure.
