A fan spent $2.6M for the Messi-Ronaldo match

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two legends of soccer (soccer), faced each other at the King Fahl International Stadium, as Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain will battle Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Obviously, this duel attracted a ton of fans, who were ready to pay a lot of money to see this almost historic duel. In fact, one “crazy” fan of the two legends spent $2.6 million at auction to get a ticket.

For the fan in question, spending that many millions on a VIP ticket was well worth it.

The nearly $3 million ticket was a special item that was auctioned off through the Saudi government’s entertainment arm. The winner sould have been able to meet Ronaldo and Messi in addition to having access to the locker room.

Note that the auction opened at $260,000, and quickly skyrocketed to $2.6 million.

The proceeds from this auction will go directly to charity.

An influencer seems to have thrown a live lobster from the top of Montmorency Falls

Jay Fortin, an influencer from Quebec City, has been receiving a ton of virulent comments since he allegedly threw a live lobster from the top of the Montmorency Falls.

In the video published by him, we see him heading to the supermarket to buy a live lobster, to go to a bridge overlooking the Montmorency Falls, and release the live lobster, as reported by TVA Nouvelles.

The said video is circulating excessively on the networks, it has generated more than 130,000 reactions, as well as 400 comments, many of them not very complimentary.

That said, in order to offer unique content to Internet users in order to thwart the algorithms, influencers are looking for every way to find different avenues to get engagement, “likes”, leading to possible contracts.

Note however that according to the “hashtags” of Fortin, the lobster in question would be a fake, but he refuses to confirm it to the media, declining calls from them for the moment, still according to TVA.

Did Usain Bolt lose 12M$ in a fraud?

Usain Bolt reportedly lost more than $12.7 million as a result of fraud via his account with a private equity firm in Jamaica, according to a statement from his lawyers on Wednesday.

Linton P. Gordon, one of Bolt’s lawyers, said his client’s account suddenly went from $12.8 million to $12,000. Evidently, a letter has been sent to the company to reimburse the greatest sprinter of all time.

“If this is accurate, and we hope it is not, then a serious act of fraud, theft or a combination of both has been committed against our client,” Bolt’s lawyers said in a letter.

If the mountain of millions is not returned within 10 days, civil and criminal proceedings will be initiated.

The company in question, Stocks & Securities Limited, offered no comment on the matter. In fact, on its website, it tells its clients “to direct all urgent matters to the Financial Services Commission of Jamaica”. It is this commission that is investigating the company.

This is certainly an alarming situation as many of the company’s customers could also lose millions, just like Usain Bolt.

Let’s hope that Bolt, who holds the world records in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 meters, will get all his millions back.

Lost at sea and saved by a ketchup bottle

A 47-year-old man, Elvis Francois, was adrift on the Caribbean Sea for 24 days, and for food/survival, he relied on a bottle of ketchup.

François was found 120 nautical miles northwest of Puerto Bolívar, on the Colombian side, thanks to the word “help” that he had engraved on the hull of his sailboat. It was an airplane pilot who saw the word “help”, and it was from this that he was rescued.

“I had no food. There was only a bottle of ketchup that was on the boat, garlic powder and Maggi (bouillon cubes), so I mixed it with water!” said Elvis Francois.

The reason he got out at sea was because he was doing repairs on the boat when it was suddenly washed away by bad weather. Lacking navigational skills, he was unable to return to shore.

“Twenty-four days – no land, no one to talk to. You don’t know what to do, you don’t know where you are. It was tough. At some point, I lose hope. I think about my family,” added Elvis François.

Francois received the necessary medical care in the port city of Cartagena, and then was handed over to the immigration authorities to return home.

Jeremy Renner’s horrific 911 call revealed!

New details about actor Jeremy Renner’s horrific accident have emerged as audio clips of the 911 call were obtained by TMZ.

According to TMZ, a neighbor spent over 15 minutes with the 911 dispatcher, while Renner can be heard moaning in pain in the background.

In a two-minute audio clip, the actor’s neighbor attempts to explain the urgency of the situation.

The situation seems to deteriorate quickly and panic sets in the neighbor’s voice. He then requests an ETA (estimated time of arrival) from the paramedics, but he can’t get it due to the huge amount of snow left by the storm.

The neighbor again explains Renner’s situation, who has “shallow breathing with a lot of pain.”

The audio clip ends with the neighbor saying the actor is “falling asleep” and as he talks to the actor asking him to “stay awake,” which is very emotional.

After spending several weeks in intensive care, Jeremy Renner is now back home for a long recovery.

And with these new details, we can say once again that he really did narrowly escape death.

Flyers player refused to wear a jersey in support of the LGBTQ community

The Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov decided not to participate in the warm-up period of his team on Tuesday night because of wearing the Pride jersey. To justify this controversial decision, he invoked his religion (Russian Orthodox)…

Let’s recall that during the warm-up before facing the Anaheim Ducks, the Flyers wore Pride-themed jerseys, in addition to a rainbow ribbon(tape) on their pads.

Obviously, this moment is meant to be an important annual moment set aside as a sign of support for the LGBTQ community, which has earned them a ton of criticism across America.

Provorov, who spent all of 23 minutes on the ice surface, wanted to “respect” himself by refusing to put on the jersey.

So he declined to take further questions on the subject. Moreover, his coach, John Tortorella, supported him, indicating that he respected Provorov since he was always faithful to himself.

It is important to note that following this session as a sign of support, the jerseys and sticks will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to “the team’s charity and its efforts to develop field hockey in various communities”.

The NHL also supports the You Can Play which aims to ensure equality, respect and safety for all athletes, regardless of sexual orientation.
