Trump believes Biden will stay because of his ego

In a phone interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on rival Joe Biden. Trump believes Biden will stay… because of his ego!

Trump, the Republican candidate in the running, addressed the mounting pressure pushing Biden to step down, due to concerns about his physical and mental health. Trump is confident that Biden will continue his campaign despite these concerns, because in his opinion, Biden is driven by his ego and does not wish to withdraw.

According to Trump, the Democratic Party has few options to force Biden out of the race.

Trump also speculated on the consequences of a Biden withdrawal, and speculated that Vice President Kamala Harris would likely be the Democratic nominee. He thinks this will be the case, as he believes Democrats would be very concerned if she wasn’t nominated as a replacement candidate.

Trump’s statements come after Joe Biden recently affirmed in a letter to his party his intention to continue his campaign, despite criticism following his disappointing performance at last month’s debate. In the letter, sent to congressional Democrats, Biden vowed to carry on his campaign and defeat Donald Trump.

In addition, six Democratic elected officials, as well as several celebrities and major party donors, publicly urged Biden to step down, citing his performance at the recent debate and expressing doubts about his ability to fulfill his duties.

Trump described the debate as a strange evening, mentioning that he found Biden’s voice weak and admitting that he didn’t understand exactly what was going on.

Biden’s doctor clarifies the president’s state of health

In response to rumors of repeated visits to the White House by a Parkinson’s specialist, Joe Biden’s general practitioner, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, issued a letter clarifying the president’s condition. Questions had been raised as the president had been visited by the neurologist on numerous occasions in recent months.

The statement was issued after a controversial White House press briefing, during which Karine Jean-Pierre, press secretary for the White House, was asked a number of questions about these visits. Ms. Jean-Pierre said visitor logs were public, but would not confirm details of the visits at the briefing for security reasons.

Initial reports in the New York Post and New York Times indicated that neurosurgeon and Parkinson’s specialist Dr. Kevin Cannard had visited the White House eight times between last summer and this spring.

Karine Jean-Pierre pointed out that Biden was not being treated for Parkinson’s and that the president had never taken medication for the disease. She explained that Biden visits a neurologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as part of annual check-ups that include a detailed neurological examination. The examinations performed revealed no symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis or central nervous system disorders.

Joe Biden just won’t quit and he even wrote a letter to Democrats

In the face of mounting speculation and pressure, Joe Biden affirmed in a letter to his party that he would maintain his bid for the 2024 presidential election. In the letter, sent to the Democratic Congress on Monday, Biden stressed the importance of party unity. In his view, any division would diminish their chances of beating Donald Trump and the Republican MAGA in the next election.

Biden emphasized the need for Democrats to remain united in order to focus on their main goal: defeating Trump in the next election. With only 42 days left until the Democratic convention and 119 days until the general election, Biden stressed that their sole mission is to defeat Donald Trump. He added that a drop in determination or a blurring of their goals would only benefit Trump.

Getty images

The president’s message is intended to appease growing calls among Democrats for him to step aside. Acknowledging the concerns surrounding his campaign, he admitted to being aware of the criticism but reiterated his determination to stay in the race. He explained that he had had multiple discussions with Democratic leaders, party officials and voters, saying that he would not have chosen to run if he didn’t think he was the best candidate to beat Donald Trump in 2024.

Getty Images

Biden noted that he garnered more than 14 million votes in the Democratic primary and nearly 3,900 delegates, positioning him well ahead as the presumptive nominee. Democratic voters chose him as their representative, he recalled in his letter.

Biden asserts that the choice of the Democratic nominee must rest exclusively with the voters, and not with the press, pundits, big donors, or any select group of individuals, no matter how well-intentioned.

Getty Images

Let’s not forget that Biden is facing pressures that are making his path to victory more difficult, especially since his rather disastrous first debate against rival Donald Trump.

Since that debate, Biden has stepped up his presence at rallies in key states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, and has stepped up interviews to answer questions about his credentials.

The coming days will define the Democratic Party’s strategy for the November elections.

And the clock is ticking.

No more meetings after 8pm for Joe Biden?

After an emergency meeting with Democratic governors, President Joe Biden reportedly declared that he would limit his nocturnal activities after 8 p.m. in order to sleep better at night. This decision has led some members of his party to question his ability to manage a busy campaign and presidency.

Wednesday night’s meeting was intended to reassure Democratic governors that Joe Biden is capable of governing effectively and running a campaign to defeat former President Donald Trump in the next election.

The New York Times reports that Biden made the request to give himself a balanced schedule.

Getty Images

California Governor Gavin Newsom, a staunch supporter of Joe Biden, tried to downplay the president’s comments, saying they were not to be taken literally, but that Biden needed to manage his energy better. Newsom also stressed the need to maintain a reasonable schedule to avoid burnout.

An unnamed Democratic lawmaker, meanwhile, expressed concern about Biden’s decision and questioned the president’s ability to manage potential crises that may arise at night. Joe Biden’s campaign has defended this approach, drawing comparisons with former presidents such as George W. Bush and Barack Obama, who maintained structured schedules to balance their schedules.

The controversy comes after a difficult debate performance from Mr. Biden, worrying some Democrats about his re-election campaign. The debate, which took place at 9 p.m., showed a president who appeared exhausted and struggled to express himself. This fueled concerns about his health and his ability to be president for a second term.

Sources close to Biden say that since then, he has been taking daily naps as early as 11am.

After the debate, Michigan Democratic candidate Debbie Dingell raised the possibility of a change of course if Biden failed to convince voters of his vitality.

Biden relies heavily on the inner circle of his family, which includes wife Jill Biden and son Hunter Biden. Both have reportedly encouraged him to continue his campaign, while suggesting that he make significant changes to his team of advisors.
