The incident prompted mass evacuations and mobilized a large team of firefighters. The bushfire spread rapidly, and a flame several meters high has continued to burn for hours following the explosion, which occurred at around 9:55 a.m. local time.
The flames damaged several infrastructures and started several small brush fires, complicating the task of firefighters, who had to douse several houses all around the explosion zone.
The cause of the fire remains uncertain, although initial reports suggest that a car hit the pipeline, causing the explosion.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported to date, but as a precautionary measure, residents have been ordered to evacuate the area.
Impressive images taken from a helicopter reveal a blackened area around the flames, which continue to rise to several hundred meters in height as firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.

Donald Trump has posted a bizarre message against Taylor Swift after the latter announced her support for rival Kamala Harris in the current presidential election. On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote:
“I hate Taylor Swift!”
Trump’s strange post came days after the singer announced her support for the Democrats in a post on Instagram on the night of the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
In her post, Taylor Swift said she picked Harris for president and stressed that the country could achieve much more if it were guided by serenity rather than chaos.
In her post, which quickly received over 11 million likes, she encouraged her fans to get involved in the democratic process by doing their own research into each candidate’s policies before making a decision. This message doesn’t seem to have gone down well with the former president.
Trump’s rancor towards the singer comes after he attempted to create, using artificial intelligence, images of Taylor Swift and her fans supporting Trump.
These images were intended to grossly exploit her popularity and image without her consent.
The star added that these events had prompted her desire to clarify her true voting intentions in order to combat misinformation.
This seems to also have greatly annoyed Trump.
Taylor Swift reaffirmed her comments by using her platform at the MTV Video Music Awards to encourage young voters to cast their ballots.
Elon Musk once again finds himself at the center of controversy after posting a message on his X platform about Donald Trump’s apparent assassination attempt, which occurred while he was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida, last weekend.
Musk’s controversial post, now deleted, read, “No one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala”. This remark naturally provoked strong reactions on social networks.
Musk, who reportedly initially refused to retract, insisting that no one had tried to attack Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.
He eventually deleted the comment, after much criticism, but Musk tried to minimize the impact of his remarks by claiming it was just a joke.
He eventually acknowledged that publishing on X is different and may not be as funny as making a joke in person in front of people who laughed at it.
Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on 𝕏
Many people, including the White House spokesman, were quick to react, calling Musk’s post “irresponsible”.
President Biden reacted to the events in Palm Beach by expressing his gratitude that President Trump was safe. He also stressed that there is no place for political violence and promised to allocate more resources to the Secret Service.
Presidential candidate and Trump rival Kamala Harris also strongly condemned the events, expressing her deep disturbance at the assassination attempt on former President Trump and denouncing political violence.
Although the shocking post was removed, Musk continued with his usual posts, blaming Democrats and the media for Trump’s assassination attempt.
In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, JD Vance found himself at the center of a political firestorm after admitting to “create stories” when it suits him, in this case about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.
JD Vance said Sunday that he stood by the debunked claims he and Donald Trump have spread suggesting Haitian migrants were eating pets, saying that he was willing "to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention." https://t.co/CB7cAljIeL
These “created stories” were then taken up by Donald Trump, who broadcast them to over 67 million people during the ABC presidential debate.
The city of Springfield, already struggling to provide adequate resources for its residents and the many immigrants who have taken refuge there, has descended into chaos due to the propagation by some Republicans, including Vance and Trump, of unfounded and racist stories about Haitian migrants.
Vance also persists in claiming that accusations that Haitian immigrants steal and eat pets (and geese in city parks) come from “first-hand reports” from his constituents, despite the absence of any corroborating evidence.
This rumor actually began with a Facebook post, leading to a wave of unfounded accusations of pet theft.
These allegations, amplified and repeated by Vance, were denied by local Springfield leaders as well as Ohio’s Republican governor, Mike DeWine, who called the claims “hurtful”.
The governor also clarified that Haitian immigrants are not illegal immigrants, but legally reside in Springfield.
He acknowledged that, while the recent influx of around 15,000 newcomers to a city of 58,000 presents challenges, he also highlighted their positive contribution to the local economy.
Since Trump repeated his remarks at the debate, the small town of Springfield has plunged into chaos, with several days of bomb threats, rising tensions and other troubling effects, such as the Proud Boys arriving in the community in an attempt to intimidate immigrants, who claim to be living in anger, confusion and fear.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Selena Gomez recently opened up about a subject that unfortunately affects many women.
She spoke about the challenges of her serious health problems and revealed that it was impossible for her to have children naturally.
Selena Gomez has always wanted a family, but due to health complications, the star will be exploring adoption or surrogacy—when she’s ready.
“I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she tells VF. “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in… pic.twitter.com/1WQUUFnYt8
The 32-year-old actress and singer, having faced several medical challenges, had to accept the idea of not being able to have children naturally after a lupus diagnosis in 2013 and a kidney transplant in 2017.
Gomez made a touching revelation when she emphasized the seriousness of her health condition, saying that she’s never said it until now, but that unfortunately, she can’t be pregnant, as her health problems would threaten her health and that of the baby.
The star’s revelations highlight not only her physical health problems, but also the emotional state she found herself in after this realization. She said she had been mourning her current situation for a long time.
Gomez is happy, however, to be able to consider options such as adoption or surrogacy, both of which she sees as a real blessing. This acceptance of a change of perspective on motherhood has enabled her to see that there are still many possible routes to becoming a mother.
Selena Gomez, who has been in a relationship with music producer Benny Blanco since 2023, revealed that they have openly discussed their future, including the possibility of getting married and having children.
However, she wants to take her time and develop her romantic relationship before making any bigger decisions.
The Fyre Festival is set to make a controversial return, and its founder, infamous fraudster Billy McFarland, has revealed his plans for the festival scheduled for April 2025 on a private island in Mexico.
This time around, McFarland is promising an exclusive experience aboard a luxury yacht for the modest sum of $1.1 million… no less!
Fyre Festival is set to return for round two next spring, this time on a privately-owned island off the coast of Mexico. https://t.co/m2gWcLiWSe
Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison in October 2018 for fraud, following the fiasco of his first Fyre Festival. The festival, held in April and May 2017 on a private island in the Bahamas, was heavily criticized for its many failings and disastrous conditions.
In addition to his prison sentence, McFarland was also ordered to repay $26 million to victims.
At the Fyre Festival in 2017, housing conditions and food were catastrophic. Attendees discovered rudimentary camping tents instead of the luxurious accommodations promised, and received mediocre meals, mainly the now infamous cheese sandwiches, a far cry from the gourmet dishes advertised.
The Fyre Festival was one of the most talked-about events of 2017, largely promoted by celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Ja Rule. The festival was supposed to feature performances by Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T and Blink-182, but turned out to be a dismal fiasco, with conditions that could have had disastrous consequences for attendees.
Although McFarland claims to have learned from his mistakes, many remain skeptical of his announcement that ticket prices will range from $1,400 for the cheapest option to $1.1 million for the festival’s most exclusive package.
McFarland is trying to assure potential attendees: they can expect a well-established infrastructure that will support their festival experience. This includes accommodation, catering and other services.
McFarland even joked that a more sophisticated version of the infamous cheese sandwich would be on offer.
Funny guy…
McFarland is also trying once again to entice the public with numerous activities of all kinds, in addition to the musical performances. He also revealed that all logistics would be handled by a production company. The festival would include live combat sports and other activities to provide a more diverse entertainment environment.
The most expensive tickets include a luxurious experience including scuba diving and access to a private yacht.
According to NBC News, Billy McFarland admitted full responsibility for his actions, acknowledging that he had committed a crime for which he had been sentenced to prison. He also said he deserved the sentence.
But will this be enough to convince people to invest in such a fanciful and uncertain project when he has yet to reimburse the victims of the first festival fraud?
