Hunter Biden guilty!

On Tuesday, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, was found guilty of three counts of illegal firearms possession. Following a week-long trial in Wilmington, Delaware, the jury delivered its verdict after approximately three hours of deliberation on the second day. The verdict is historic, marking the first time an American president’s child has been convicted.

The conviction follows an incident in October 2018, in which Hunter Biden allegedly lied on a federal application form about his drug use when purchasing a Colt revolver. Three counts were filed, including making false statements about Biden’s addiction, certifying that statements made by him are true, and possessing a firearm illegally.

During the trial, Hunter Biden’s drug addiction problems were scrutinized. Although Hunter Biden’s lawyer argued that the prosecution had failed to provide tangible evidence of Hunter Biden’s crack cocaine use during the month of the gun’s purchase and possession, as no witnesses had seen Hunter use drugs during this period, text messages on his phone contradicted this argument.

These messages indicated communications about drug trafficking and drug use shortly after the gun purchase. In the end, the jury agreed with the prosecutors.

According to CNN, sources in the courtroom described Hunter Biden’s family and friends as shocked by the verdict.

A few days before the verdict, when asked about the possibility of his son being found guilty, President Joe Biden had stated that he would not pardon his son, underlining his commitment to due process.

This verdict is likely to have major repercussions on the political scene, given that Hunter Biden had been on the Republican radar for several months.

Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison and a maximum fine of $750,000. The judge indicated that a sentencing hearing is generally scheduled for 120 days after the verdict, which would place that hearing in mid-October, before Election Day.

This verdict will most likely be appealed by Hunter Biden and his team.

Divorce rumors for J. Lo and Ben Affleck surge as their home hits market

Speculation about the end of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage is mounting, and it’s not about to get any better after the couple decided to put up for sale their Beverly Hills home purchased just a year ago, reinforcing divorce rumors.

According to TMZ and certain sources, the couple, who married in the summer of 2022, have been separated for several weeks now. These same sources claim that a real estate agent has been showing their shared marital property to potential buyers for the past two weeks.

In recent months, the couple have rarely been seen together in public. Jennifer Lopez has appeared at several premieres and walked the Met Gala red carpet without Affleck. However, it was the cancellation of her tour for family reasons that really alerted fans and the media, leading them to believe that something was wrong with the famous couple.

Amid all this speculation, there is still no official confirmation that the relationship is actually over.

Although no offer has yet been accepted on their sumptuous property, all signs seem to indicate that the separation between the two stars is imminent.

Céline Dion describes terrible symptoms in NBC interview

Céline Dion gave an exclusive interview to NBC on the heels of the launch of her docu-series on Prime.

In the interview, an excerpt of which was revealed by the American network, we can see a Céline Dion in great shape, but visibly affected psychologically by her diagnosis, as she suffers from Stiff Person Syndrome, explaining to interviewer Hoda Kotb the intensity of some of her symptoms.

Uncontrollable voice, violent spasms (to the point of having the potential to break bones), the singer describes her symptoms vividly.

This may well dampen the current theories circulating that the Charlemagne diva is due to sing at the Paris Olympics in the near future.

But it wouldn’t be the first surprise Céline has had in store for us since the start of her career…

The complete NBC interview will be broadcast in its entirety on June 11.

Rust’s gunsmith wants to see Alec Baldwin in jail

The legal wrangling surrounding the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust continues, as the film’s armorer was recently sentenced to 18 months in prison for manslaughter.

She hopes to see actor Alec Baldwin suffer the same fate in his upcoming trial in July.

The spotlight will soon be on Alec Baldwin, also charged with manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins, the director of photography on the set of Rust who died in 2021 after a gun discharged during a rehearsal.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the gunsmith in charge at the time of the tragedy, could be called to testify at the actor’s trial, which begins on July 9 with jury selection.

Gutierrez Reed was convicted and sentenced to 18 months in a New Mexico correctional facility, after a jury deliberation lasting less than three hours.

She hopes that Alec Baldwin, who allegedly set off the gun that killed Hutchins and also injured director Joel Souza, will suffer a similar fate at his trial.

According to People, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who apologized for her role in the tragic accident, criticized the way the media portrayed her. She also strongly contested her conviction. In a recorded telephone conversation from the prison where she is serving her sentence, she reportedly expressed her desire to see Alec Baldwin jailed too.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed’s recent requests for a new trial were denied, the judges concluding that the instructions given to the jury were the correct ones.

Gutierrez Reed’s trial, broadcast live due to the permission of cameras in the courtroom, had attracted a lot of attention last March, and many people are hoping that Baldwin’s trial will also be broadcast live, which could make it one of the most talked-about trials of the year.

Alec Baldwin will stand trial for manslaughter on July 9.

Since the tragedy, the actor has maintained that he did not pull the trigger on the gun that killed Hutchins.
